Subaru took top honors in three different segments in this year’s 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards. Winners were selected based on surveys taken by more than 65,000 owners of new 2015 and 2016 model year vehicles. Owners were asked what changes they would make to their cars and trucks, and several areas were analyzed, including: safety, performance, cargo space, handling, technology and more.
The analysis provides a good picture of whether or not a vehicle provides what its owners want and need. For the 2016 Subaru Outback, Forester and Crosstrek, it turns out that owners are generally very satisfied with these models just the way they are. All three SUVs received the lowest percent of suggested changes compared to competitors, and their wins helped Subaru clinch awards in several categories, including Premium Midsize, Midsize and Small Crossover SUV.
“We are extremely proud to receive these three distinguished 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards because they represent the voice of our customers,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “This recognition is a testament to our commitment of providing top quality vehicles with safety, reliability, durability and comfort in mind.”
