OPTION 3: EXTEND YOUR LEASE
If you need more time to get the Subaru vehicle you want, contact our team to see if you qualify for a one-time 6-month lease term extension1. You must be current on your lease payments and not subject to any bankruptcy or repossession proceedings.
Lease term extensions are available for a maximum of six months for those who qualify. You can turn-in your vehicle at any time during the six months without incurring Early Termination penalties; you do not have to wait until the scheduled maturity date. You must turn-in or purchase the vehicle at the end of the six-month extension. Mileage is pro-rated for each month.
OPTION 4: RETURN YOUR LEASED SUBARU
If you decide to return your Subaru there are a few steps you must take prior to your lease end date.
- At least 45 days prior to your turn-in date, contact our team to make arrangements for your complimentary pre-inspection2 and return. The inspection process should take about one hour and you will need to be present for it. A pre-inspection is an evaluation of the wear and use on your vehicle so you can anticipate potential lease-end charges3. Pre-inspections are completed by an independent inspection company, AutoVIN, and can be arranged at your home, office, or other convenient location. You can review your online condition report about 24 hours after your appointment. If you do not get a pre-inspection, we will still complete an inspection after you turn-in your vehicle, and you will not have the opportunity to make repairs. Applicable excess wear and use charges will appear on your final Lease-End Bill. After the inspection, the inspector will give you a condition report that will detail all wear and use to the vehicle. The inspection report does not list the actual excess wear and use charges. We will mail you an estimate of any items from the condition report for which you will owe excess wear and use charges, based upon your Lease Agreement.
- On your turn-in day: Make sure your vehicle is ready to turn in. • Remove all personal items. • Place the owner's manual in the glove box. • Turn in both sets of keys to your vehicle. • Change any personal digital information from in-vehicle interfaces. See the Subaru Wear and Use Guide to help you anticipate potential lease-end charges.. You can return your Subaru to our dealership or we can schedule a date and time to pick it up from your home or office.
