What is Factory Training?

• Technicians are taught by the most advanced and knowledgeable Subaru technical instructors, and receive hands-on experience in diagnostics, maintenance and all manner of repair work.
• Technicians learn to understand all aspects of specific Subaru components and on-board systems, including but not limited to:
  • SUBARU BOXER® engine
  • Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System
  • SUBARU EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology
  • SUBARU STARLINK™
• Training is updated annually

Interested in a career as a Subaru Technician?

Subaru University, also known as Subaru-U, is a partnership program between dealerships, Subaru of America, and select National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) secondary and post-secondary schools. The program’s mission is to develop future Subaru technicians so that they are fully prepared for employment at a Subaru dealership, and capable of handling all Subaru vehicle systems. Students can take basic training, or advance their previous training through web-based and instructor-led courses, and the program is offered at no-cost for those who qualify to participate.
