Compare the 2024 Subaru Impreza vs Legacy - Phoenix, AZ

Performance

First, a look at the 2024 Impreza, which is a sporty hatchback with two engine options. For the base and Sport models, the Impreza moves around with a 2.0L four-cylinder that can create 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. Drivers who opt for the RS trim level get a 2.5L four-cylinder that generates 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.

Next, a look at the two engine options for the Legacy. The standard is a 2.5L four-cylinder that is similar to what is found under the hood of the Impreza RS. For the Legacy, however, it makes 176 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option for the Legacy is a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder that produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Both the Impreza and Legacy come standard with a CVT.

Appearance

Starting in 2024, the Impreza is only available as a hatchback. The Legacy, on the other hand, is a midsize sedan. For the Impreza, 16-inch wheels come standard. The Sport and RS models get 18-inch alloy wheels and athletic exterior touches. Moving on to the Legacy, it comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels and adaptive LED headlights. Higher trim levels upgrade to 18-inch alloys instead.

Features

The Impreza and Legacy are both nicely equipped. For the Impreza, the standard feature list includes dual-zone automatic climate control, two 7-inch touchscreens, LED headlights, and keyless entry. As for safety features, the base Impreza provides drivers with the EyeSight bundle. It includes a lane departure warning, a rear-seat alert, adaptive cruise control, and more.

Choosing the 2024 Legacy will mean getting a satellite radio, two USB ports, automatic climate control, and dual 7-inch displays. Like the Impreza, the Legacy protects drivers and their loved ones with the Subaru EyeSight bundle that includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane departure warning.
