Camelback Subaru partners with St. Mary’s Food Bank and Feeding America to help provide 98,094 meals to help fight effects of COVID-19 pandemic

Camelback Subaru is proud to continue our commitment to our community by providing 98,094 meals to St. Mary’s Food Bank through Feeding America®. The donation will help them respond to increased need in our community including people most impacted by the pandemic. Hunger impacts many families in Arizona

Nearly 30% of Arizona families are considered working poor, and because of this live on wages that barely cover housing and basic necessities. With little money, many families in our community go without food. Or they are forced to purchase the cheapest, sometimes expired groceries to feed themselves and their families. In turn, 1 in 4 children in Arizona go to bed hungry and suffer from poor nutrition.

The consequences of undernutrition are devastating. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, poor nutrition in children will negatively affect overall health, cognitive development, and school performance.
