INTRODUCING PULSE - NOW INSTALLED ON EVERY NEW CAMELBACK SUBARU VEHICLE

The Safer Braking Technology

The name says it all. Pulse is the rear-end collision deterrent that rapidly pulses your third brake light 4 times when you press the brake pedal (the pulsing does not repeat upon any subsequent application of the brakes for 5 seconds so as not to annoy trailing drivers in stop-and-go traffic). According to the Department of Transportation (DOT), 90% of rear-end collisions could be avoided if the trailing vehicle had one extra second of warning. Pulse provides that warning.

THE CASE FOR SAFER BRAKING.

Between 2012 and 2014, almost half of all two-vehicle crashes were rear-end crashes. These crashes killed more than 1,700 people each year.  In that same time frame, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigated nine rear-end crashes involving a passenger or a commercial vehicle striking the rear of another vehicle, which killed 28 and injured 90 people. A 2007 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) study showed that 87% of rear-end crashes involved a driver failing to attend to the traffic ahead.1

YOU'RE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON ON THE ROAD.

This philosophy is shared by auto dealers, nationwide, who offer Pulse to their customers. The same is true of hundreds of cab, transit, delivery and rental car companies looking not only to protect the investment in their motor vehicles, but also their most valuable investment - the one they've made in you and your safety.

Pulse safer braking technology is the safest distance between two points. With Pulse on board, you'll have peace of mind knowing you've done everything you can to protect yourself and your family from "the Other Guy." We invite you to look for Pulse displays where you buy or rent the cars you drive. It's a sure sign you'll be able to drive away with confidence.

Convenience, reliability and simple, elegant design are at the heart and soul of Pulse The Safer Braking Technology®  and the years of engineering that have gone into its development. Your dealer simply installs the small Pulse module near the third brake light and the solid state electronics do the rest. No moving parts. Nothing to wear out. Just a simple idea whose time has come.

WE HAVE YOU COVERED.
Pulse features an exclusive 5-year, unlimited mile product replacement warranty for manufacturing defects. If the product fails for any reason, we will replace it free of charge. Also, ask your dealer if they offer Pulse's exclusive Limited Product Warranty that provides an additional $3,000 Total Loss Protection benefit in the unlikely event that Pulse fails to prevent you from a total loss in a rear-end collision.

PROVEN TECHNOLOGY.
From 2006 to 2010, the Department of Transportation (DOT) studied and published a series of reports on the effectiveness of a flashing third brake light showing that a flashing brake light improved the reaction time of the driver in a trailing vehicle by almost 50%.2 The same DOT studies showed that a distracted driver was 69% more likely to notice the car ahead of them slowing or stopping, if that car was equipped with a flashing third brake light.
In short, study after study demonstrates the effectiveness of the Pulse safer braking technology in helping to prevent rear-end collisions.
THE PULSE DIFFERENCE.
Step on the brake pedal and Pulse goes to work pulsing, rather than flashing, the third brake light.
Pulse is proudly designed in the USA and each unit is hand-tested twice at the manufacturer before being shipped to the dealer.
