Coming in five trim levels: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Limited, Hybrid and Hybrid Touring, the 2015 XV Crosstrek offers crossover shoppers a bevy of terrific amenities. The base 2.0i trim starts things off with several fun standard features, such as roof rails, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, a four-speaker sound system, smartphone integration, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6.2-inch touchscreen display and rear privacy glass. Opt for the 2.0i Premium and you'll add heated front seats, heated mirrors, an adjustable center armrest, a removable cargo tray, a cargo cover and a six-speaker sound system.


The 2.0i Limited trim adds a bit more luxury amenities on the XV Crosstrek, including ambient interior lighting, automatic headlights, leather upholstery, upgraded instrumentation, hands-free text messaging, an upgraded infotainment system and a 7.0-inch touchscreen display. The Crosstrek's two hybrid trims feature a hybrid-specific display on the center stack, an LCD display in the gauge cluster, keyless entry/ignition, leather upholstery, a sunroof and 17-inch wheels.


Our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek review loves the crossover's excellent safety amenities, such as Subaru's newly added EyeSight safety package that offers adaptive cruise control, a forward collision mitigation system with automatic braking and lane-departure warning. Standard safety features on the crossover include side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, active front head restraints and stability and traction control.


Under the hood, the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek in Phoenix comes with a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed "boxer" four-cylinder engine that rates at 148 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with a standard five-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. An optional CVT is available on higher trims. The hybrid trims add an electric motor to their powertrain that rates at a slightly higher 160 hp and 163 lb.-ft. of torque.
