Subaru Outback, known as the "World's First Sport Utility Wagon," enters its fifth generation with a comprehensive redesign. The SUV is larger, quieter, more efficient and more powerful than ever. Plus, it introduces a number of new safety and driver assist features that consumers will love.

The all-new 2015 Subaru Outback - on sale soon in Phoenix - was recently revealed at the New York International Auto Show and is scheduled to arrive at our dealership this summer. Highlights of the SUV's redesign include:

  • Outback's bold new exterior styling features sharper and more sculpted lines all around, new HID low-beam headlights on 3.6R Limited trims, a new front-end design with Subaru's signature hexagonal grille and other changes.
  • A slightly longer wheelbase has resulted in more space for passengers, with gains in front, shoulder, elbow, rear-leg and rear-hip room, as well as an increase in cargo volume, which has gone up from 34.3 to 35.5 cubic feet.
  • Added safety equipment includes: new front seat-cushion airbags, a rollover sensor for the side curtain airbags, and a new exterior and interior lighting system that automatically turns on when the driver departs or approaches the vehicle. There are also added security options, including the latest version of Subaru's EyeSight system and a new Rear Vehicle Detection System, which features lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring.
  • When the 2015 Subaru Outback goes on sale in Phoenix, Ariz., it will offer the best AWD fuel economy in its class, delivering an EPA-estimated 25/33 mpg city/highway with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Impressive efficiency can also be expected from the 3.6-liter BOXER six-cylinder engine.
