Fall is here and that means it's pumpkin season! If you want to help your little ones find a special "Halloween squash" for jack-o'-latern carving, visit the Desert Botanical Garden from Oct. 23 through Oct. 26 to browse pumpkins large and small. When autumn comes around, everyone looks forward to going to the pumpkin patch and DBG's Great Pumpkin Festival is the perfect place to carry on the tradition.
Plus, there will be activities and entertainment for visitors, including carnival-style games, music, hayrides and more!
From Oct. 23-26, DBG will host DJ Dana at the Events Plaza and Phoenix string-band Pick & Holler at the Pumpkin Patch Stage. Bluegrass band Hurt County will also be performing at the Pumpkin Patch Stage on Oct. 25 and 26.
If you want to get lost in fun, an Amazing Hay Bale Maze will be featured, along with a petting zoo where you and your kids can see and interact with adorable farm animals. In addition, there will be country and western entertainment, children's crafts and activities, food concessions and a Harvest Market.
Hayrides to the pumpkin patch are offered for free, and also included with the price of admission, children 12 and under can take home a pumpkin of their choosing.
Entrance to the Great Pumpkin Festival is covered with paid garden general admission. DBG is located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix, Ariz. If you have any questions about the festival, please call (480) 481 - 8188.
