This year, Subaru sent its own Team 200 to compete in the event with a specially adapted Subaru Forester Hybrid. The team surged to victory driving the 2025 Forester Hybrid, setting yet another remarkable milestone for the renowned automaker.
What is the Rebelle Rally?
The Rebelle Rally is a unique event for several reasons. It is the longest off-road endurance auto race in the country, and it's designed exclusively for women. Rebelle Rally, which takes place in October 2026, features a challenging course spanning Nevada to California, covering daunting desert terrain. Rather than competing for speed, the event showcases vehicles' off-road driving capabilities and the strategic skills of team members who rely on precision driving, compass charting, and mapping to reach the finish line. Along the way, team members face challenges involving compass navigation and mapping, as well as the terrain itself. Rebelle Rally is a trying event that includes an average of 10-12 hours of competition daily. Teams must also complete one marathon stage per rally, which is an overnight run without return to base camp.
About Subaru's Team 200
This year, Subaru will bring the same team to the Rebelle Rally that clinched a victory in the X-Cross class in last year's race. The dynamic duo comprising Team 200 in the 2026 race consists of Carey Lando and Andrea Shaffer. This award-winning team will race a Forester Hybrid adorned with custom graphics and specially designed to handle the unique challenges presented by the desert terrain in the race. They are optimistic about this year's race, having previously secured wins in the 2024 and 2025 Rebelle Rally competitions. Along with Rebelle Rally, the women in Subaru's Team 200 have raced with each other in the Trinite Road Rally. About the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid
The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is the vehicle of choice for Team 200 in this year's Rebelle Rally. As with last year's race, Team 200 will drive a vehicle that has been modified to tackle the unique challenges presented by Rebelle Rally. This year's modified Subaru Forester Hybrid includes a three-inch suspension lift, 30-inch Milestar Patagonia Pro tires, underbody protection, recovery equipment, auxiliary lighting, and custom graphics.
