What's New for the 2018 Subaru Impreza?

After unveiling last year's design overhaul, the Impreza ended the year as the top-selling all-wheel-drive car in its class. The roomiest, safest, most tech-ready installment of the Impreza has proven to be an amazing overall value to boot. Winner of both the KBB Best Resale Value, as well as the ALG Best Residual Value awards; the Impreza was engineered with longevity in mind.

It's no wonder 96% of all Imprezas sold in the last decade are still on the road today. A testament, not only to its rock-solid engineering, but to its stellar safety record as well. For 2018, we added an automatic headlight feature that activates when the windshield wipers are engaged; instantly increasing visibility during unexpected hazards.

Trims & Features

The new Impreza comes in 4 different trims: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Sport and 2.0i Limited; available in both 4-door sedan and 4-door hatchback option; the latter providing increased cargo room. All configurations feature Subaru's patented 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Symmetrical-All-Wheel Drive Boxer engine and are available in both 5-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission.

The 2.0i Base model comes equipped with Subaru's latest 6" touchscreen infotainment system, allowing for seamless integration of any devices with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatibility. The up-to 100.9 cubic feet of passenger space come make it the roomiest passenger car in its class. A rear-view camera and Starlink roadside assistance also come standard. The 2.0i Premium features our all-weather package with heated seats and mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icers. All Premium models are powered by Subaru's CVT Lineartronic automatic transmission system. The upgraded 6-speaker audio system comes standard, as well as available Eyesight Driver Assist technology. The 2.0i Sport is the only model equipped with Active Torque Vector technology; automatically applying brake to the inner-wheel based on driving metrics. Coupled with its 18-inch alloy wheels, the Sport really rips into turns with superior balance and traction. The upgraded 8 inch color display infotainment system comes standard along with spoiler body kit.

The most luxurious 2.0i of the line is the Limited, which sports a leather-trimmed interior, 17-inch alloy wheels, push-to-start ignition and an automatic climate control system. The Limited is the only model to feature LED adaptive headlights that move in conjunction with the car, providing exceptional visibility and safety.

Horsepower

2018 Subaru Impreza ExteriorAll models in the Impreza line come equipped with Subaru's trademarked Symmetrical-All-Wheel-Drive 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Boxer engine. The engine's low-lying horizontal design coupled with the newly redesigned high-strength steel chassis evenly distribute 152 horsepower and 146 torque evenly to all four wheels in unison with minimal vibration. Not only does this make for a smoother more controlled ride; but also it adds to the longevity of engine by reducing wear-and-tear.
