What's New for the 2026 Subaru WRX?

Subaru's AWD sports car returns for 2026 with a more affordable base trim. A new WRX Series.Yellow model arrives as well. Based on the tS trim, this special edition model receives exclusive Sunrise Yellow paint and matte-black alloy wheels.

What Are the 2026 WRX Trims & Features?

Subaru offers the new WRX in six main trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited, GT, tS, and Series.Yellow. Many WRX fans will be happy with the return of the base model. It comes loaded with even more features than before. Highlights include an 11.6-inch Subaru Multimedia Plus System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, keyless access with push-button start, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Premium trim brings more niceties. While a 10-way power driver's seat makes it easy to find the perfect driving position, premium cloth upholstery with red contrast stitching adds a more upscale character to the interior.

Drivers seeking more luxury will be interested in the Limited trim. Just a few of its upgrades include LED steering-responsive headlights, a power sunroof, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Black Ultrasuede and leather upholstery, with red bolsters, further enhance the cabin's premium feel.

Equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission, the WRX GT is another great option. Features such as Recaro Performance Design front seats and a 12.3-inch sport-design digital gauge cluster help create an exciting atmosphere for serious driving enthusiasts. Meanwhile, electronically adjustable suspension dampers enhance handling and ride comfort.

In terms of performance, the WRX tS sits at the top of the lineup. It features STI-tuned adaptive suspension dampers, STI-tuned steering, and Brembo brakes. The special edition Series.Yellow model is similarly equipped.
