Before we get to news about the new Subaru plug-in and second-generation BRZ, we first want to talk about the brand’s new three-row crossover. We wrote about this earlier in the year and now Subaru has confirmed that it is indeed building a new U.S.-only seven-passenger utility vehicle, which apparently has not been named yet. But, Subaru has filed some patents to protect potential names, including Ascent 7, Sojourn, Venterra and Cypress according to AutoGuide. Sources also say the new crossover is going to be built at Subaru’s Lafayette, Indiana plant beginning in 2018.

Furthermore, we just heard that Subaru is going to produce a new plug-in hybrid around the same time as its new crossover SUV. We don’t know what markets will get the plug-in, but we sure hope that it will be sold in Phoenix. Along with this, Subaru says a thoroughly updated edition of one of our favorite performance cars is on the way - the Subaru BRZ. The company recently confirmed for yet another time that an all-new, second-gen version of the BRZ is currently being developed with Toyota and also revealed that a BRZ STI model is coming, too!

As more info is unveiled about the new crossover, plug-in hybrid and BRZ, we’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned to our newsletters if you don’t want to miss the latest news!
