What's New For the 2022 Subaru Forester?

We're impressed with the updates and upgrades that Subaru has provided for the 2022 Forester this year. This is a well-received vehicle that has been around since the 1990s, and this year, you'll be able to enjoy a Wilderness trim level for upgraded ground clearance. A new climate control design has been added to the interior and a panoramic sunroof inclusion (not included in the Base model). There is also an EyeSight package available if you're interested in more safety features in your Forester, including better camera sensors and an electric parking brake. A torque vectoring system is now included standard in the 2022 Forester.

Subaru is offering six different Forester trim levels for the 2022 model year. The Base model is the most affordable, or you can opt for something upgraded like the Premium or Sport. The Limited, Wilderness trim level, and Touring are all the higher-end models that include the most bang for your buck. We like the Wilderness for drivers who want a more off-road adventure type of vehicle. The Touring includes:

2022 Subaru Forester Horsepower

A 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that comes standard across all models easily achieves 182 horsepower. You can tow up to 1,500 pounds with the 2022 Forester for all trims; however, the Wilderness edition can tow up to 3,000 pounds. Standard features include a continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive.
