What's New for the 2025 Subaru Ascent?
Last year's base model has been discontinued for 2025, which ultimately means an extra number of upscale features come standard. Subaru has also welcomed two new trim levels to the lineup: Bronze Edition and Onyx Edition Touring.
What Are the 2025 Ascent Trims & Features?
Even the entry-level Premium trim boasts an impressive list of standard equipment. Subaru's Starlink multimedia system features an 11.6-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. Other highlights include heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Flaunting 20-inch black alloy wheels and black exterior accents, the Ascent's Onyx Edition trim makes a strong visual statement. Upgrades like second-row captain's chairs and a panoramic sunroof give you more reason to consider this eye-catching trim.
The Limited trim is even more luxurious. Just a few of its niceties include leather upholstery, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, and a surround-view camera system.
To attract more attention on the road, check out the new Ascent Bronze Edition. Unique bronze-colored wheels and matching exterior accents give it a serious wow factor.
Yet another option is the Touring trim. It provides additional amenities, including ventilated front seats and Nappa leather upholstery.
Atop the range is the feature-packed Ascent Onyx Edition Touring, which offers a spectacular combination of comfort and style.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Ascent Have?
Every new Ascent is motivated by a 2.4-liter, turbocharged Boxer four-cylinder engine. It's rated to churn out a healthy 260 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission smoothly feeds power to the wheels. Not only does the new Ascent deliver a great driving experience, but it also packs enough brawn to tow up to 5,000 pounds. Furthermore, standard Symmetrical all-wheel drive lets you take your adventure off the pavement.
What Safety Features Does the 2025 Ascent Include?
Regardless of your destination, the 2025 Subaru Ascent will keep you safe. Several EyeSight driver-assist technologies come standard. While Pre-Collision Braking scans the road ahead for potential danger, Reverse Automatic Braking gives you greater security when backing up. Lane-Keep Assist, Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, Automatic Emergency Steering, and Blind-Spot Detection are also included.
