Modern Inside and Out

The 2017 Subaru Forester in Phoenix is proof that sometimes simple is better. The practical, yet modern shape is now topped with sporty LED accents for the headlights and tail lamps, a new hexagonal grille and new wheel designs. The interior design is clean and fresh with lots of wiggle room. Its design promotes visibility, making it an excellent vehicle to navigate traffic in. Available add-ons include a panoramic moonroof, 10-way power driver's seat, seat position memory and reclining rear seats. Higher grades now feature a Saddle-Brown leather-trimmed upholstery that offers a more premium feel. The STARLINK system with a 7-inch built-in touch screen is now standard in all models. STARLINK is compatible with iOS and Android devices, Bluetooth and several apps.

Two Great Engine Choices

Forester engines are designed with SUBARU BOXER technology, which eliminates vibrations and offers better balance. The base engine is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower. The engine is mated with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Foresters with the manual transmission get an EPA-estimated 28 mpg combined, while CVTs come in at 25. Forester 2.0XT models boast a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 250 horsepower. The turbo engine only comes paired with the CVT, but the Subaru Intelligent Drive system on these models allows for drivers to reprogram the settings to make it mimic a 6- or 8-speed automatic. The 2.0XT models also come with shift paddles. All models of the 2017 Subaru Forester in Phoenix have symmetrical all-wheel drive which makes it a great performer across all road conditions.

Safe for the Whole Family

The 2017 Subaru Forester's advanced protection system, including seven airbags, is available on all models. The Forester utilizes advanced vehicle dynamics control for maximum stability. The EyeSight Driver Assist system is available on higher grades Many 2017 Subaru Forester reviews recommend the excellent system, which now has a color camera and an expanded field of vision. EyeSight features include monitored traffic movement, optimized cruise control, lane departure warning and automatic braking. Higher grades also feature new blind spot detection with rear cross traffic alert and reverse automatic braking.
